FA to managers - carry on insulting refs.

That's the implicit message from the Football Association to the footballing world with its decision to impose pitiful sanctions against premiership managers Paul Jewell and Harry Redknapp for their televised attacks on premiership referees because they weren't happy with their decisions. A paltry fine and suspended touchline bans were all the FA could come up with after Jewell and Redknapp gave good impressions to the world that they wanted nothing more than to physically assault the referee. Well done F.A. Every referee in the country will sleep better for knowing they're coming down hard on managers who threaten match officials.
