If you don't want the ball to go to your opponents, don't kick it at the referee! Howard Webb, in an unusual bout of public confession, admitted he had suffered because of a couple of bad decisions earlier this week.
In the Wolves-Birmingham FA Cup replay, Radhi Jaidi passed the ball straight at Webb, who could do nothing to get out of the way. The ball bounced to a Wolves player who ran upfield and scored. Webb described his involvement in Wolves' second goal as "probably the lowest point of my professional refereeing career".
Come on Howard, it wasn't your fault. Now that penalty you should have given to Brum, that's a different matter!
