Chilly times in Jozi

In refereeing terms the World Cup has been uncontroversial so far. A few red cards, mostly for players rashly picking up yellow cards, and that's about it. The biggest talking point was the sending off of Australia's Tim Cahill during the 4-0 defeat against Germany. Cahill wouldn't even have received a card for his challenge, in which he was clearly trying to withdraw his feet. the staright red card was unjust and Cahill was distraught after the game, crying as he talked to reporters.

OK FatRef. So what about Coulibaly's call in the US V Slovenia game today. I felt he did not step on it early in the game resulting in a virtual rugby scrum in the penalty box. You're there - so tell us wht you saw?

Hey Niccy boy. You're spot on. Made a rod for his own back by failing to deal with it. I'll post what I wrote for the AP
