The whole world seems to be convinced that Ukraine should have been given a goal. The ball crossed the line, everyone says. Well did it? The angle I saw certainly made it look as though there was a little space between the goalline and the ball. But I was looking through the net and the goal post and I'm not sure if my angle was from on the goal line. Hardly the ideal view.
The extra assistant was about five yards away and the linesman was pretty close to the goalline too and neither of them seemed to think it was a goal.
I think that maybe it should have been a goal but I'm not going to follow the herd mentality and shout that it was an obvious decision - far from it.
