Well, the new LOAF (Laws of Association Football) thumped onto the floor this morning, the thickest and heaviest its ever been. The Laws of the Game take up 45 pages, as they have done for many years, while The FA's advice to referees, extra detail supposed to be a handy guide, now takes up a whopping 70 pages.
I've only spotted one change so far and that's a somewhat irritating one. It had been an offence if a player decided, at a throw-in, to regain possession by throwing it at a player and getting thge rebound. It led to tension, fights and was unnecessary. Now, the FA has decided that it's OK, as long as it's not done using excessive force.
