I'm pretty sure it was the equalising goal for Lyon in their 4-2 victory over Stuttgart, but there was a flood of Champions League footy on late last night and I didn't have a notebook to hand.
Anyway, the Lyon player's shot from the edge of the area was heading goalwards. Another Lyon attacker, clearly in an offside position, committed two acts that should have tipped off the referee and his assistant to blow for offside. As the ball headed goalwards, the offside attacker was running across the goal and clearly blocked the view of the goalkeeper, meaning he was in active play.
And then, just to hammer home the offence, he was forced to jump over the ball to avoid it hitting him. Now if that's not active play I don't know what is.
However, there is room for confusion. The assistant should have seen the player in an offside position but may not have realised he was blocking the goalie's view because he was at some distance and at the wrong angle. The referee and lino needed to talk to each other about it. I hope they did communicate via their electronic system, but whatever the case, the wrong decision was reached.

Do you think a referee should know the kick off time of every game he is officiating at?
I certainly do. Even when he's a linesman??
Interesting on this, a few weeks ago Arsenal played (Sunderland I think) and Adebayor went to shoot from 6 yards out from an offisde position, however he missed the ball and it rolled through to another player.
The assistant flagged for Adbayor but was critisced by the Assseor for doing so.
