Chis Coleman's rambling whinges

It's pretty rare for two players from the same team to get injured at the same time, especially two big guys who are crucial in defending corners and throw-ins. But that's what happened to Drogba and Alex for Chelsea against Coventry and, of course, they had to leave the field of play after receiving treatment for their injuries.
Refs usually wave the players back on as soon as they can. Making them leave the field of play is not a punishment. So, as soon as the long throw was in the air, Steve Bennett waved them back on. The ball was successfully defended and Alex made a beeline for the ball, making contact. Chelsea then broke with the ball and Alex went on a 70-yard run off the ball, eventually picking up a sweet cross from the promising Quaresma and scoring.
Any problem here? No. Bennett reffed sensibly and got the Chelsea players back into action as soon as possible, which was his duty.
But here's an interesting interpretation from Coventry boss Chris Coleman, who invented the law that referees have to wait and see which way the ball bounces before waving players back onto the field. Coleman also complained that Bennett was too friendly to the Chelsea players, a nasty and sly attempt to undermine the credibility of referees.
I always think Coleman is an intelligent young manager - until he opens his mouth!

A good point. I couldn't believe what Coleman was on about when I saw the interview and then the footage.
