Balotelli accepts violent conduct charge

Well, I'm always willing to say i was wrong, even if my heart tells me a bit of an injustice has been done in the case of Mario Balotelli.
But Man City have decided not to challenge the charge of violent conduct in Sunday's game against Tottenham in which he stamped on Scott Parker. Referee Howard Webb didn't see it at the time, but said when asked to review the incident that he would have sent Balotelli off if he had seen the incident.
Balotelli will now serve a four-match ban, starting immediately.
If Man City aren't fighting it, I can only assume they accept that Balotelli deliberately stamped on Parker, but the whole affair leaves a strange aftertaste.
