The FA needs to get a move on with Clattenburg

Wake up there FA and get a move on, a man's career and livelihood is at stake. The allegations about Mark Clattenburg were made on Sunday October 28, more than a week ago and Clattenburg has not, according to referees' chief Mike Riley, even been interviewed by the FA or by Police yet.

Clattenburg has unsurprisingly turned down a match this coming weekend, although he was apparently offered a game. I'd be very surprised if Clattenburg's head was in the right police to referee until he is cleared, and that's why it's crucial that the FA gets a move on.
It can't be that complicated to take evidence from the people concerned. Chelsea have already presented their evidence and Clattenburg and his legal team have already submitted their report on events during the Chelsea-Man Utd game. His verbal evidence is unlikely to be very different.
So why is the FA waiting. Their investigators really need to get a result out in the next few days.
It's not that complicated really. Is there any credible evidence against Clattenburg?
The longer this is allowed to fester, the more difficult it will be for Clattenburg to return. he is also a FIFA referee and is presumably losing Champions League matches. This can have a decisive effect when it comes to selection for major tournaments like next year's Confederations Cup, the warm-up tournament for the World Cup in 2014.
