Webb could still get the final

Howard Webb wasn't on the list of referees who have been awarded a World Cup quarter final match, according to the list FIFA has just released here in South Africa, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Webb has performed excellently here so far and hasn't put a foot wrong. He has steered clear of controversy so I'm guessing he's on the list of refs to officiate in the semi finals or the final.
I wonder if FIFA is considering having a Spanish-speaking ref for the final, such is the overwhelming dominance of Latin American teams. Also, FIFA may think that getting the Champions League final and the World Cup final in one year may be a little too much.
I don't think it would be. Webb is at the peak of his powers in South Africa and would do an excellent job.
We'll see.
