Well thanks Mr Blatter. Now you think it's a good idea to have a look at goal-line technology. I wonder if this could be the first step towards the 74-year-old Swiss executive losing his job. He has plenty of enemies circling in the wings and a u-turn like this can't do him any good.
IFAB will look at this in a month or so and undoubtedly bring back to life some suggestions about goal-line technology that were rejected for no apparent reason eight months ago.
Whatever, I wouldn't suggest a meeting between Blatter and the England team any time soon.
