Thank You Corsham Ref

I sneaked through the written examination for promotion from Level 6 to Level 5 the other night, thanks to some last minute swotting of obscure parts of the LOAF and a very handy quiz to be found on Julian Carosi's impressive Corsham Ref site.
Players and managers who think they know the laws of the game would be well advised to try a few of Julian's quizzes, which are simple tests of the laws, multiple choice questions that test knowledge of decisions a referee should take.
I gave myself a shock when I only got 12 out of 20 for the first one, but I soon got into my stride and was averaging about 16 for most of them. I even got 19 for one of the tests.
So now comes the hard part. I'll be assessed four or five times over the end of this season and the first half of next. Because I'm looking to step up to a half decent level, I'll be looking to ref a better standard of match next season, either in the Kent County League of the lower reaches of the Kent League.
That'll be an interesting challenge and one I relish. I just need to get fit now!
